Google Trends are out! Moto G, IRCTC and Sunny Leone tops the charts

GoogleGoogle has been the most popular search engine all over the world. From searching for an image, video, music album to collecting data for your college assignments or finding details about a person, Google helps us in all this. “Google It!” has become the famous phrase among the people, when it comes to find or know about something. In fact, Google has come up as just another word for “search”.

Now, as the year comes to an end, Google has come up with the end-year trends in its 2014’s Year In Review. In India, websites like IRCTC, Flipkart and SBI online were among the top 3 most searched words in 2014. Looking at the trends, the growth of the e-commerce industry can be seen clearly. The three most popular e-commerce websites namely Flipkart, Amazon and Snapdeal, all made their way to the list of most searched keywords in India the previous year.

General Elections 2014 were obviously the most trending search of the year. Other trending searches being FIFA 2014, Apple’s new offering iPhone 6, GATE 2015 and IPL 2014. Bollywood Actress Sunny Leone was the most searched personality, followed by India’s new Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Among all the famous bollywood and sports celebrities, Narendra Modi is the only politician to be in the race of most searched people in India. Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, Deepika Padukone, Alia Bhatt and cricketer Virat Kohli were some of the other people searched the most by Indians.

Now, coming onto the most searched tech devices of 2014, Motorola’s Moto G has become the most searched gadget, with which Motorola made a fantastic comeback in the year 2014. It continued to be in the limelight because of the high-end specifications with a perfect build quality at a very nominal price. Moto E and Moto X also got their spots booked in this list because of the promising quality and pure Android experience that they offer. Xiaomi’s Mi 3, Samsung Galaxy S5, iPhone 5S and iPhone 6 were some of the other most searched tech gadgets in India.
